Guitar Instructor
Eric has played and taught guitar in the Houston area for many years. He teaches various styles including classical, finger style, flatpicking as well as rock and pop music.
"I enjoy seeing people, whatever age they are, get excited about learning a new song on guitar."
"I like to teach students how to read music first. That way the student gets familiar with music basics and the "language" and has some understanding of rhythm and the relationship of notes and chords. I also teach them how to read chord charts and tablature (TAB) but I stress that, while TAB is very useful, it does not take the place of reading notes. Usually, in order to get the rhythm of a song, you have to read the music notation."
"I understand that some folks only want to strum chords and sing and I can just teach that too"
"Mainly, I just want to help people learn to play the guitar at whatever level they want to achieve."
Why? Because it's fun to play the guitar!!!
